We now run two, 3 axis CNC routers, accommodating up to full 2050 x 3050mm sheet materials. Using these two CNC machines means we can handle a wide variety of cutting and design projects, drawing from a large selection of stock materials, to deliver your CNC cutting requirements.

Valchromat

Valchromat is a wood fibre panel that is coloured throughout and engineered for high physical performance. Manufactured in different colours, dimensions and thicknesses.

Plywood

Plywood is a type of manufactured wood made from thin sheets of timber that are glued together so that adjacent plies have their wood grains at right angles to each other for greater strength.

MDF Routing

MDF is an engineered wood product formed by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying high pressure and temperature.

Foamex Routing

Foam PVC or Foamex is a lightweight material with good mechanical and insulation properties. It has good chemical resistance with low water absorption and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It is often used for signage and displays.

Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is available in clear, white and opal qualities. It is a very tough substrate although the surface is softer than acrylic and can be scratched and softened with solvents. Mainly used in glazing and security applications.

Perspex

Acrylic or Perspex is available in many different colours and thicknesses. This is the most common plastic material we are asked to cut, in any thickness up to 30mm. The main business sectors for this are for display and signage.

MFMDF

Melamine Faced MDF is an engineered wood product formed by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying a melamine coating at high pressure and temperature.

Veneered MDF

The Finesse range of panels is produced to a very tight set specification put together to ensure an extremely high level of both quality and consistency. AXIS CNC ‘Finesse’ veneers are taken from our suppliers own selected logs.

Chipboard

Chipboard is an engineered wood product manufactured from wood particles. It is denser and more uniform than conventional wood and plywood and is substituted for them when appearance and strength are less important than cost.

Foam Routing

Only certain types of foam can be cut on a CNC router. These are termed closed cell or plastazote foam (typically called flight cased foam). The main application for this is for protective trays for tooling and parts.

Dibond

This composite material comprises of a polyethylene core sandwiched between two layers of thin aluminium. This gives a very strong, yet lightweight, rigid panel that requires special cutters and fabrication techniques.

Aluminium

We offer our clients CNC cutting services for nonferrous metals such as aluminum. Aluminium sheet can be cut in shapes with accuracy and a quality finish. Silver anodised aluminium is also available.

Dufaylite

Ultraboard Universal is the most eco-friendly of the Dufaylite range as it is comprised of a 100% recycled facing, 100% recycled core and also the board itself is 100% recyclable. AXIS CNC can print directly onto all Ultraboard products.

Kapa

Kapa Board or foam centered display board offer a lightweight solution for mounting internal prints and internal signage. It consists of a foam centre sandwiched between two layers of thin coated card. We can print directly on to Foam Core.
